Daily News Co., and all affiliated companies." The granddaughter of Joseph Medill, daughter of Robert W. Patterson, sister of Captain Joseph Medill Patterson, and cousin of Colonel Robert R. It was at this time, in 1930, that she resumed her maiden name. She had been married twice, to Count Joseph Gizycki, from whom she was divorced in 1917, and to attorney Elmer Schlesinger, who died in 1929.
