Music Library

 Repository

About:

The circulating music collection includes books, scores, and sound recordings that support the needs of students and faculty of the Bienen School of Music, the entire Northwestern community, and unaffiliated patrons. Music circulating materials are found in the Main Library, 3 South, and may be used without appointment, all hours the Main library is open. Please click here to learn more about using music materials in the Main Library, or contact Greg MacAyeal, g-macayeal@northwestern.edu, 847-491-4233.

Non-circulating rare Music collections are a part of the Charles Deering McCormick Library of Special Collections & University Archives, which is open to the public. Appointments are preferred.

See our Plan a Visit page for more information.

To view collection materials in-person, all patrons must first register and create a user account in the McCormick Library Request System.

Use your account to request materials through the online catalog and to keep a record of your transactions. When materials are ready for viewing, you will receive a link via email to book your appointment.

For alternative access options, including digital reproductions and remote options contact specialcollections@northwestern.edu.
