General

Location: Nigeria

The view is generally to the southwest, from over Lagos Lagoon. Lagos Island stretches across the center of the image, with Carter Bridge connecting to Iddo (out of frame) at the right side. The open area on the island near the left edge is the Race Course. Lighthouse Creek, Badagry Creek and Porto Novo Creek wind through the land in the upper part of the image. Several ships lie at anchor in the channel between Lagos Island and the docks at Apapa (concealed behind clouds)
