Label for Nigeria magazine attached, dated 1/9/1939

Inscribed: in ink: "6 [or 9]"; typed label with text: "Liverpool. The M.V. 'Abosso' a passenger ship of 11,330 tons at the Prince's Landing Stage, Liverpool, photographed an hour before she sailed for West Africa. All the West African passenger ships of Elder Dempster Lines sail from this place. The line maintains a fortnightly service. A ship sailing from Liverpool at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday arrives at Lagos by daybreak fifteen days later"; instructions for reproducing the image
