The collection includes photographs and postcards showing the Panama Canal under construction; Panama City, including the Casco Viejo District; the Island of Taboga; buildings in the Canal Zone, including gold roll bachelor housing; postcards depicting the Carnaval parade and the parade’s queen, and the ruins of Panamá Viejo, or “Old Panama.” Two of the postcards include correspondence written by George Hartsough.
