Addition 3

Identifier: Series 8

Scope and Contents

The addition to the records of the Chemical Engineering Department fills seventeen boxes and spans the period 1945–1986. However, most of the material dates from 1961 to 1981. The departmental files consist mainly of budget materials, faculty, staff, and graduate student files, and research files. Correspondence, program reports, surveys, and course information are found throughout the addition. The files are arranged alphabetically by subject title.

The budget materials include general information for specific academic years, planning information, allocations, budget requests, adjustments, and budget problems.

Included in the faculty material are applications, evaluations, and promotion and tenure information.

The staff files pertain to non-faculty personnel, including temporary workers, part-time workers, and work-study students.

The graduate student files contain information on admissions, financial aid, evaluations, examinations, program discussions, and student recruiting.

The research materials contain information on proposed research topics, grants, and research surveys and questionnaires.
