Scope and Contents

The addition to the Frederick Hemke Papers, filling five boxes, consists of files relating to Hemke's teaching and administrative work in the School of Music. The bulk of the files is made up of general correspondence, arranged chronologically, and of administrative files, arranged alphabetically by subject and chronologically within the folders. In addition, there is a small amount of material relating to faculty and staff and to alumni and students.

Access to files containing budget and salary information, and student recommendations, are restricted. Permission to use these files must be obtained from the School of Music administration or the University Archivist.

Acquisition information

The additions to the Frederick Hemke Papers were donated to the University Archives by Rose LaVigne of the School of Music on July 18, 2007, as Accession #07-87.

Separated materials

A few duplicate and extraneous items were separated and discarded.
