Identifier: Folder 9

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This series is comprised of six boxes, of which five contain copies of papers written for Departmental Honors, History C98, between 1975 and 1986. Box 1 contains Correspondence concerning honors candidates between 1971 and 1978. The correspondence, most of which occurred between faculty advisors of honors candidates, concerns the initial invitation to candidates to participate in the honors seminar, and evaluations of the honors papers produced by the candidates. In several folders, copies of candidates' transcripts are found, as well as brief preliminary outlines of their plan of work for the honors seminar. These folders contain information concerning unsuccessful honors candidates; only the honors papers of successful candidates are included in the five boxes of papers written for History C98 between 1975 and 1986. Two of the papers are undated. A list of papers arranged alphabetically by author's name is appended to this inventory.

Addition, Box 7 This addition contains the C98 Honors Papers of the Spring, 1987 course. There are 18 papers and they are arranged alphabetically. See accompanying list.
