Scope and Contents
This series of Medical School Physical Therapy Program student records is arranged in three boxes and documents the admission and academic record of students pursuing the degree or certificate in Physical Therapy during the period from 1958 through 1979.
The type and amount of information available on each student depends upon their placement in the alphabet. Due to the scattered nature of these records, more complete documentation exists for students whose surnames begin with letters from the end of the alphabet. For students with surnames beginning with the letters A through Q the records consist of transcripts only. These transcripts provide information including full name, social security number, the titles and grades from all courses taken during the duration of the program, date of degree or certificate granted or date of withdrawal, as well as date of admittance. For those students whose surnames begin with the letters R through Z, the records include not only the final Physical Therapy Program transcript but also a detailed application with photograph and, in some cases, an application essay as well. Transcripts from courses taken at other schools and other related documentation occasionally may be found in the files.
