Description: Boxes 1-8

These records comprising eight boxes are administrative files of the School of Speech that span the years from 1971 to 1980. The records include files pertaining to various University and school committees and organizations; programs and workshops; buildings and facilities; the Audiology Department head search; alumni affairs; and a myriad of other school related activities and functions.

Abstract

These additions to the administrative records of the School of Speech date from 1969 through 2000 and fill 18 boxes. They include general School of Speech administrative files, mainly pertaining to various School organizations, programs, and committees as well as to selected individuals and to School-related functions and activities.

Arrangement

Files are arranged alphabetically by subject heading.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The School of Speech transferred these records to the University Archives on August 23, 2001 (Accession #01-159).

Separated Materials

Several videocassette records have been separated and added to the audiovisual collection of the University Archives as items VC #836 through VC #873.

Description of the Addition

The records found within this addition to the series span the period 1969-2000 and constitute key administrative files of the School of Speech. A large portion of these files date from the period of David Zarefsky's deanship but there are substantial amounts of material reflecting the tenures of deans James McBurney and Roy Wood.
