The Wolfgang Sachtler Papers fill 45 boxes, and span the years 1944-2013. The papers are divided into nine series: Biographical Materials, Correspondence, Publications, Course Materials, Research Materials, Review Papers and Publications by Others, Textbooks, Certificates and Awards, and Student Materials (which are restricted).

Biographical Materials include items from Sachtler’s biographical file, as well as a master publications list compiled in the 1980s, with later updates.

Correspondence is primarily with colleagues on various research topics.

The Publications series consists of Sachtler’s own publications between 1964 and 2008. Most of the publications found here are offprints from academic journals, though there are some clippings as well.

Sachtler’s Course Materials are primarily from the 1990s, and are from his courses focusing on heterogeneous catalysis and zeolites. Some teaching materials from his own doctoral coursework are also included here.

Research Materials fill about five boxes, and include materials from presentations given by Sachtler at scientific conferences. Also included here are some items relating to grant proposals and related professional meetings. These materials range in date between the mid-1980s and 2009.

Review Papers and Publications by Others contains articles from colleagues and other professionals in the field. Also found here are papers sent to Sachtler for peer review.

A small number of relevant Textbooks, ranging in date from 1944 to 1985, are included with the collection, as well as a small collection of Certificates and Awards.

A small amount of Student Materials are found at the end of the collection. These materials are restricted.
