 File — Box: 13, Folder: 5

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Juliette Lipschultz Papers fill 33 boxes and span the years 1914-2011. The papers are divided into four series: biographical materials, correspondence, printed materials, and artifacts. Throughout the collection are a few "notes to file" written by daughter Karen DeCrow in the process of collecting her mother’s papers.

The biographical materials pertain to Juliette’s dance career and personal interests. This series contains items such as printed dance memorabilia, clippings, personal memos, calendars, financial records, photographs, and subject files. Also included are items relating to her husband and children, such as childhood drawings, papers, and clippings.

The correspondence predominantly features Juliette’s correspondence with Karen Lipschultz DeCrow and Claudia Lipschultz, but also includes some correspondence received from other friends and family members.

The printed materials include printed memorabilia that are not directly related to Juliette’s personal life, but pertain to her long held interests, especially dance, art, and the National Organization for Women (NOW).

The artifacts and oversize materials include objects such as dancewear, fabric, and other general memorabilia.
