This addition to the Harold Kaplan Papers fills eighteen boxes and contains papers, journals, and teaching materials from his time as a professor at Northwestern University. Box 9 contains correspondence from 1957-1994 between Kaplan and politicians as well as his publishing companies. Boxes 10 through 15 are Kaplan’s personal writings. This series includes Kaplan’s personal journals from 1957-2006 and drafts of his memoir. Boxes 16 and 17 contain drafts of Kaplan’s published books and essays. Boxes 18-20 contain essays written by Kaplan as well as other authors. These other essays contain annotations by Kaplan for his own research and classroom purposes. Box 21 contains reviews both by Kaplan and for Kaplan’s work. Boxes 22-25 are notes that Kaplan used for his lectures and class discussions both abroad and while at Northwestern University. Box 26 contains subject files that predominantly focus on Kaplan’s interest in United States politics as well as the Israel/Palestine conflict.
