Records and Correspondence: Class of 1936-1937, 1936 - 1940

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 12

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Ira D. Anderson Papers fill one and a half boxes and span the period 1936 to 1993. The bulk of the material falls within the years 1936-1948. They are mostly teaching files with one folder of biographical materials and two of correspondence.

The biographical materials include curricula vitae and clippings. The correspondence consists almost exclusively of letters of recommendation. These are arranged alphabetically by subject.

All of the teaching files pertain to the School of Business Retail Service Scholars Program. These include records of the Advisory Committee, the annual "Christmas Bulletin" (containing news items about alumni and students), several drafts of a contract between Northwestern and Marshall Field's, and lists of student correspondence, arranged chronologically by class and alphabetically by student.
