Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Burgess H. Jennings Papers fill two boxes. They are comprised of biographical materials, correspondence, published writings and related materials, research projects and reports, and a few miscellaneous items.

The published writings are predominately journal articles published from 1932-1981. There are also paperback manuals that are written as accompanying workbooks for several of his books.

The research material consists mainly of his work in using triethylene glycol vapor in air circulation systems to control the spread of airborne disease. Most of this research took place in the 1940s at Northwestern University. Many of his journal articles pertain to this topic of research.
