From the Collection:

The Northwestern University Photographs Collection was created by University Archives staff from a variety of sources, and originally served as an internal reference collection. Organized by topic, the photographs found here document people, events, buildings, and activities at Northwestern University from the institution's founding up through present day. Formats found here are primarily photographic prints, but also include some negatives, transparencies, and earlier formats such as daguerreotypes.

Conditions Governing Access

There are no restrictions on use of the materials in the department for research; all patrons must comply with federal copyright regulations. Digitization of this collection is ongoing and some photographs may be unavailable while in the digitization queue.
