Scope and Contents
The records of the Transportation Center Business Advisory Committee, filling two boxes, consists of minutes, agendas, membership rosters, and some correspondence. The Business Advisory Committee is composed of three subcommittees: finance, education, and research. The purpose of the committee is to advise the Transportation Center administration, faculty, and staff on education and research programs. The committee was established in 1956 and consists of more than sixty business leaders who are involved in transportation and distribution. The committee meets formally twice a year.
The bulk of the records consist of minutes documenting discussions held during the committee meetings. The minutes date from 1975 to 1988. The first folder in the series contains general materials relating to the Business Advisory Committee such as annual membership rosters, meeting agendas, and correspondence.
