Northwestern University Library Faculty and Student Book Circulation Records

Records of University Library book circulation to Northwestern faculty and students from the period 1874-1887 are contained in one volume. The volume notes the names of faculty members and students to whom books were charged, an abbreviated record of author and title of items loaned, and their charge out and return dates. An index to faculty circulation records appears on pages inside both the front and back covers of the volume.

Supplementing the circulation records are monthly statistical tabulations relating to use of periodical publications from teh years 1872 and 1878-1881 (pages 703, 705, 707-708, and 712-716), a list of overdue books from 1881 (page 709), and several lists of titles held by the Library (pages 3-31, 32-36, 38-44, 45-50, and 52-60).
