Karl Abt (1923- ) Papers
The Karl Abt Papers, filling four boxes, consists of materials from the courses Abt attended. Course syllabi, class notes, tests, and a few short reading assignments are included. The papers are categorized by the courses Abt took in the College of Arts and Sciences, 1941-1943 and 1946-1947, and the School of Commerce, 1946-1949. Within the two groups the files are arranged alphabetically by academic department.

Karl Abt graduated in 1948 with a B.S. in Business Administration (concentration in business management/personnel). While at Northwestern, Abt was active in the NU Band, playing clarinet and bass clarinet, the Christian Youth League, and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Method of Acquisition
The Karl Abt Papers were donated to the University Archives by Karl Abt on March 28, 1989 and accessioned as #89-48.
Eight NU faculty textbooks were transferred to the University Archives faculty books collection.
