Scope and Contents
This series contains extensive correspondence between Leopold and Gertz, including letters to and from other individuals. Leopold was copied on most of Gertz's letters, and Leopold sent Gertz much of the correspondence he received and wrote while in prison. The series begins in the 1930s, with material Leopold gave to Gertz, and continues to 1975, beyond Leopold's death in 1971. The series is arranged chronologically, and is not indexed by name or subject at this time. Page counts in this series include envelopes and other materials.
