Scope and Contents

The documents include:

  • Seven personal loans including $1,000 to J.J. Russell and $250 to Dr. P.M. Bracelin, both in 1896, for the development by Dr. Bracelin of some medical technique
  • Stock certificates for 400 shares of Calumet Iron & Steel, 50 shares of Northwestern Plate Glass, 50 shares of Lumberman's Insurance Co. (issued in 1865), 1 share of Chicago Turn-Gemeinde, and 4 shares of Inter State Industrial Exposition (issued in August 1873)
  • 1869 loan for the YMCA building, and correspondence regarding the Warren-Maltby note
