Albatross, Leipzig, Germany, 1936
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of publishing prospectuses issued between 1920 and 1940 by German publishers and booksellers, though the bulk of them are most likely from 1930 to 1938. The firms are predominantly from Berlin, Leipzig, Munich and Vienna, and although there are only one or two examples from most firms, a few are represented by several prospectuses. These include Akademische Verlagsgesellschaft, A. Anton & Co., Bernina Verlag, Bertelsmann Verlag, Beyer Verlag, Bibliographisches Institut, Breitkopf & Hartel, Brockhaus, and Bruckmann.
