Original notebook (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") recording transfers of Tribune Company stock, 1861/1923. Listed more or less chronologically by the name of the owner, with an index inside the front cover.
The owners are John L. Scripps (to 1865); William Bross and his Lloyd heirs; Charles H. Ray (to 1863); Joseph Medill and heirs; Alfred Cowles and heirs; William H. Rand (1862/1870); George D. Williston (1864/1866); Henry M. Smith (1864/1866); James Ballantyne (1864/1966); George P. Upton and heirs (1864 and later); Cyrus P. Langley (1864/1870); James T.
