This series consists of information from and about the Chicago tribune. It contains information spanning the entire history of the Tribune, in all genres and formats, such as: internal documents; publications; photographs; information about policies, practices, staff and buildings; printing plates; plaques; awards; paintings; original artwork. Almost any research into matters connected to the Chicago tribune should include an investigation into the material contained in this series.

Abstract

The photographs have been separated into groups, based on their orientation in the box in which they were found. Although these groups at times exhibit a certain amount of internal consistency, it is not always clear that all of the items in a group have the same characteristics.

General

This set of photographs were found in the same context as the photographs from the 1910s through the 1970s, and 1980s and 1990s. These photographs were not in folders, but simply stacked in a box. Groups of photographs that could be matched with existing groups are located elsewhere. Many of these photographs were published in house organs such as the Trib or Little trib
