From the Collection:

This series contains groups of photographic negatives and prints of Cantigny farm and grounds (Robert R. McCormick's estate in Wheaton, Illinois) found among the unprocessed Tribune Company Archives materials. One group of negatives shows a large event (or several similar events); another contains aerial views of the main house and immediate surroundings; a third shows a tree on the grounds being felled.

General

Originally contained in a box labelled in pencil "Col. R.R. McCormick estate. Air views" over the printed label "Press 3000 anti-halo Guilleminot". The handwriting may be the same as the handwriting on the box of aerial views of an event (in box 1)
