A.L.s. to John Brisben Walker (30 Wellington Court, Albert Gate, London, England) was originally laid into: Twain, Mark. Christian Science. New York, 1907 (Twain/Ch). John Brisben Walker was the editor of The Cosmopolitan in which "Christian Science and the Book of Mrs. Eddy" by Twain appeared in October, 1899; in the letter Walker seeks permission to republish the article. For letter to Henry Huttleston Rogers, recipient full name determined from reference to "Uncle Henry" in body and context of letter; letter was originally laid into: Twain, Mark. The Quaker City Holy Land Excursion. 1927 (Twain/Qu).
