1936 April 11 T.L.s. is accompanied by envelope with sketches on the verso. 1938 January 30 T.L.s. includes poem by Kees, "The Future Is Not For Us." Rexroth's letter to Kees regards the outbreak of war and his support of the arms embargo against Germany. Letters to Dale Smith regard Hollywood, writing and publishing, Dadaism, authors met in New York, a critique of Smith's "The Happy Hour" manuscript, Hemingway, Cowley, and Norris Getty.
