The letters formerly housed in this folder have been replaced by photocopies. The original letters are in series IX-63, box 1:

  • Theodore Roosevelt to Robert Sanderson McCormick, 1902-01-16 (IX-63 box 1 folder 65): "I think that it is as handsome of its kind as any portfolio I have ever seen. I thank you hearily[sic], not merely for the gift but for the spirit behind it."
  • Theodore Roosevelt to Robert R. McCormick, 1914-06-26 (IX-63 box 1 folder 62): "Those are capital clippings and I congratulate you on them. I need not say how pleased I am at the way The Tribune is handling this matter."
  • Theodore Roosevelt to Katherine McCormick, 1916-05-03 (IX-63 box 1 folder 63): "Won't you look at my book called 'Fear God and take your own part'. I must tell the truth, although I quite agree with you in your views of Mr. Wilson"
  • Theodore Roosevelt to Robert R. McCormick, 1917-06-28 (IX-63 box 1 folder 64): "You are very good! I enclose the two notes. It was fine to catch a glimpse of you. Lord, how I will I wqere going with you!"
