Immediate Source of Acquisition
Purchased from the Chicago firm of Hamill & Barker, Inc. after 1971. Leonard Woolf, literary executor for Octavia Wilberforce who had inherited Robins’ papers, sold the bulk of the archive to New York University in 1964. After his death, close friend Marjorie Tulip Ritchie (“Trekkie”) Parsons, became literary executor for any materials in Woolf’s possession. See correspondence in the Hamill & Barker Archive (MS90).
