General
Although "Colonel R.R. McCormick" is hand-lettered on the cover of each volume, there is no indication that Col. McCormick participated in the exercise. Articles in the Chicago tribune about the exercise (1932-05-26 page 14, 1932-05-27 page 10, 1932-05-28 page 10) do not mention McCormick.
