Scope and Contents

The British Rave Flyers Collection is a collection of 746 flyers and postcards from British raves and nightclubs from the 1990s. This collection contains flyers from a wide range of venues throughout the United Kingdom, as well as a few venues in Scotland, the United States, France, Spain, and Germany. Notable venues include Evolution, Marcus Garvey Centre, Lakota, Milwaukee’s, Popham airfield, Tasco Warehouse, the T2 aircraft hangar, The Edge, Sanctuary, Starlite 2001, and Stringfellows.

The flyers are illustrated with colorful graphics and include information such as venue location, theme, promoter, ticket prices, and DJ lineups. Notable DJs include Carl Cox, Mickey Finn, Boy George, Richie Malone, Paul Oakenfold, The Prodigy, Jumpin Jack Frost, and Carl Brown.
