Manuscript and typed carbon copy of Medill's reply to Harrison's letter of 1894-07-16. "Your letter of the 16th inst. exhibits a singular mental condition to say the least. ... If you are so dully of perception as not to see that the Times has been 'guilty of a gross breach of journalistic courtesy' in publishing a malicious invention, and that too garnished with the most glaring typographical conspicuity, it would be a waste of words to point it out to you in this letter."
