Scope and Contents
The autograph transcript by Matthews (41 p.) has a note by Matthews on first page: "on the poems the elder Browning either suggested or wrote in rivalry (!) with his son." A note on the second page reads: "The following sacred poems (by the late Robert Browning, Esq., father of the author of 'The Ring and the Book') are from an unpublished ms. in the possession of the Baroness von Muller."
