Processing Information

Creation date was determined from an intertitle card that listed the year 1934. This film is most likely made of footage spliced together. Footage dates are unknown, as is the date the film was spliced together.

J. Gordon Wilson's name was on the film canister, but not in the film itself. However, he is kept as an agent since he worked and published on this subject extensively during the first half of his career at Northwestern University, from as early as 1912 to the 1930s. In 1930 he gave a presidential address to the American Otological Society and listed a handful of case studies with similar “traits” as these. Wilson was also the long-time chair of the Department of Otology and then Otolaryngology.
