John Ridlon papers
Content Description
Materials related to orthopedic surgery pioneer John Ridlon's memoir, including approximately 273 pages of a typed manuscript (box 1 and 2) as well as shorter writings about various people and events in Ridlon's life (box 2). Collection also includes carbon copies of some correspondence from Ridlon, which often covers details of his life, as well as his involvement in the medical and military community in his later years; letters about the memoir written by his daughter Jeannette Ridlon Piccard after Ridlon's death; telegrams to Ridlon for his birthday in 1929; and newspaper clippings covering topics related to Ridlon's life (all box 2).
