Overview Robert J. Cashman earned Master of Arts (1930) and Ph.D. (1935) degrees in physics from Northwestern University. Abstract Rudolf Frerichs came to Northwestern University in 1947, to work as a research investigator in the Department of Physics. In 1956 he was appointed professor of electrical engineering in the Technological Institute. This small collection of papers includes biographical materials, correspondence, and research files, and spans the period 1947 to 1983; most of the material falls between 1947 and 1965.
