College presidents

Abstract The Hough Papers reflect the brief tenure (July 1, 1919, to October 1, 1920) of an individual who had had no previous pertinent experience for the position of a university president, who apparently had been elected out of desperation as a compromise candidate, and who was absent from his office during most of his presidency because of preaching activities, travel, and illness.
