The University College, founded in 1933, became successively the Evening Divisions, 1953-1978; the Division of Continuing Education, 1978-1983; then once again the University College of Continuing Professional Education in 1983. During the period represented by the bulk of these records, 1980-1985, the Dean of the College (or Division) reported to the Assistant Provost. Dean Corley first became Assistant Dean of the Evening Divisions in 1974, then Dean in 1976. Her tenure ended in 1985; Donald E. Collins succeeded her.
