Biography

Rae Moses was a faculty member in the Linguistics Department at Northwestern University. Born May 30, 1935, Moses was a native of Oakland, California, and attended Oakland High School, College of Holy Names, University of California, Berkeley, and San Francisco State College. She received her B.A. in English from San Francisco State in 1960, and subsequently moved on to the University of Texas, where she earned a Ph.D. in Linguistics in 1966. Additional positions held at Northwestern include Director of the Women's Studies Program and Assistant Dean of Arts and Sciences.

Abstract

Leon Moses (1924-2013), was a professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University and served as faculty member in the Transportation Center. Rae Moses (1935-2013) was a faculty member in the Linguistics Department at Northwestern University, and held the positions of Director of the Women's Studies Program and Assistant Dean of Arts and Sciences.
