Biography
Sharon Spencer (August 8, 1933-April 8, 2002) was a professor of English and comparative literature at Montclair State University, specializing in the writings of Anaïs Nin. Spencer obtained a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. at New York University, and taught at Montclair State from 1971 until her death. Spencer published over sixty essays and reviews, forty short stories, and eight books (both fiction and non-fiction).
