Arrangement
Materials in this series were identified by di Bonaventura as correspondence and were originally housed in three-ring binders. Materials were un-bound for long-term preservation and the binders discard but the original order of the materials has been maintained.
Some materials contained in this series are not strictly speaking, “correspondence.” Folders containing ephemera, programs, clippings, pamphlets, and photographs in addition to photocopies or other reproductions of documents in di Bonaventura’s possession and filed with his correspondence are present in this series. These materials remain in the correspondence series to preserve di Bonaventura’s original order and any associated evidence of his use of the materials.
Processing Information
Most materials in this series were previously processed. Additions have been made to this series in October 2017 for previously unprocessed correspondence in the form of additional folders for previously unrepresented correspondents or subjects or through the addition of individual items into their respective correspondent or subject folders– both methods continuing the existing organizational scheme presumably established by Mario di Bonaventura.
