This series includes datable events for which some trace was found in Dr. Harris' papers; chiefly conferences, meetings and similar events. Inclusion in this series does not necessarily mean that Harris attended the event, or even that the event was ultimately held. Conferences of organizations as a whole (such as the annual conference of the African Studies Association) are listed in a separate series, with the organization.
