Scope and Contents
This series of Medical School student records fills thirty-five boxes and spans the years from 1942 through 1969.
Each student is represented by at least two documents: an application for admission to the school and a Medical School cumulative grade records card or transcript. The application includes a photograph (up to 1980), parental name(s) and address(es), names and addresses of personal references, past educational history, and other biographical data. The grade record card or transcript provides grades received for all Medical School courses, notes the hospital in which the student interned, and also notes the date on which the student received the M.D. degree. A personal statement regarding why the applicant wishes to attend the Medical School is included in the reocrds dating after 1970. Some students' records also include transcripts from coursework at other institutions as well as correspondence from the most part relating to Medical School enrollment.
