Medical School Student Grade Records, 1952, 1953
Scope and Contents
This series of Medical School student grade records is arranged in twelve volumes and documents the academic record of students pursuing the M.D. degree during the period from 1948 through 1972.
Each volume contains student record cards which include standard information relating to each student's academic course performance, date of matriculation, prior education, and degrees held. The cards also include personal information such as date and place of birth, name of parent or guardian, home address, citizenship, racial categorization, and religious affiliation. The student's date of receipt of the M.D. degree and grade point average also are given. The amount of information recorded varies from year to year and card to card. Records on M.D. degree recipients date from 1952 through 1972.
The last volume of this series, spanning the period 1948-1968, includes biographical and grade records on students withdrawing from study prior to completion of coursework or receipt of degree. The date and reason for withdrawal usually is noted on the record card.
