Description: Boxes 1-5
The Faculty Personnel Files comprise five boxes of material, spanning the dates 1972-1978.
Each folder contains one or more of the following items:
1. Computer printout summaries of teacher evaluations filled out by students after the courses were completed.
2. Letters by students to the Dean in praise of a faculty member or letters of formal complaint about a faculty member.
3. Letters between the faculty member and Dean Ellen Corley regarding the teacher's courses, letters of recommendation and other matters.
4. Letters of recommendation written by Dean Ellen Corley on behalf of the faculty member.
5. Resumes and course syllabi of the faculty members.

The files are arranged alphabetically according to surname of the faculty member.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Twelve boxes of additions to the Evening Division/University College faculty personnel files were transferred to the University Archives on 15 June 1988 by Shelley Cole, Secretary, University College (Accession #88-131).
Separated Materials
Three boxes of textbook orders, 1983/1984-1985/1986, were discarded.
General Note
This addition to the Evening Division/University College faculty personnel files fills nine boxes and spans the period 1974-1986. Most files date between 1979-1984, with only a few files dating earlier or later. The files contain the same information as found in the original series and its first addition: summaries of teacher evaluations, letters concerning individual faculty, related correspondence with faculty members, Dean Martha S. Luck (1974), Dean Ellen Corey (1975-1983) and Dean Donald E. Collins (1983-1986), and resumes and syllabi of faculty members.
The Division of Continuing Education (Evening Division) changed its title to University College" beginning with the 1983-1984 academic year. Donald E. Collins became the dean at that time.
