Biographical / Historical

Tullman joined Experiencia World Inc. as Chairman of the Board. (Tullman's connection to Experiencia appears to have begun as a project to start "a children's interactive museum for Kendall College Chicago.") Experiencia was "an educational company committed to immersing students in the most memorable learning experiences of their lives through large-scale, museum-quality simulation centers, rigorous academic curriculum, career exploration, teacher training and parent involvement." The company ran two programs: EarthWorks ("a science and math program in which students are immersed in realistic simulated ... habitats as they gameplan solutions to sustain ecosystems in the face of unanticipated simulated fires, droughts and floods"), and Exchange City (later called BizTown; "a social studies and economics-based program in which students become the businesspeople and elected officials in their own cityscape"). These programs were reproduced at centers throughout the United States. The program in Chicago ceased operation on June 30, 2008; the corporation was dissolved in 2012. Most of the materials in this series are related to Experiencia's operations in Chicago, but contain limited information about operations in other cities
