Scope and Contents
The Lois Elliot Papers fill two and one-half boxes and consist of biographical material, research files, and files relating to Elliot's activities as a Northwestern faculty member.
The biographical materials include vitae and news releases. The research files, which form the bulk of the series, are primarily composed of records relating to the grant-funded projects that Elliot administered. They include grant proposals, budget reports, correspondence, and notifications of grant awards.
Box Three contains files on a variety of topics unconnected with Elliot's major research projects, including a study on speech discrimination in children, materials pertaining to the Human Communication Sciences Program at Northwestern, and correspondence. The final folder holds reports, articles, and chapters of books written by Elliot.
