    Fountain served as a member of the faculty at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Choirmaster at St. Paul Lutheran Church before joining the faculty of Northwestern University's School of Music as the Professor of Organ and Church Music in 1961. The Grigg Fountain Papers fill one half-size archival box and date from 1961-1986. The bulk of the Papers are comprised of correspondence, both personal and professional covering the years 1961-73. Also included are one folder each of biographical materials and Northwestern press releases regarding Fountain's music career.

  • Method of Acquisition

    The University Archives received the Grigg Fountain Papers on June 4, 1987. They were separated from the Ralph G. Dunlop Papers (30/8) on December 27, 1988 and accessioned as # 88-295.
