Records of the Centennial Conference on the Arts
The series, spanning the years 1950 to 1951, fills one half-size box and includes records of the University's Committee for the Centennial Conference on the Arts. The Chair of the Committee was Northwestern Professor of Art Thomas M. Folds. The records, mainly correspondence, document Conference planning and programming and, in particular, the solicitation of program participants. The correspondence, both incoming and outgoing, is arranged chronologically within two folders. One folder of conference reports and schedules and another of budget and expense materials are arranged at the end of the series.

The University Archives acquired these records on July 26, 1983 (Accession #83-182).
About one linear inch of correspondence and related materials pertaining to the Centennial's John Evans Program and Academic Conference #2 have been interfiled into series 0/12/1.
