When examined in 2020, the clippings were found to be extremely brittle; most had broken into segments along fold lines. The clippings were replaced by photocopies.

    General

The verso of "Joseph Medill's recollections of Lincoln--III" has the running title "Albany Sunday Press. April 28, 1895." The other two parts of this series are probably proofs of articles in the same paper, appearing April 14 and April 21, 1895. The source of the other two clippings is not identified.
